A week off from school??

We had the entire week off from school for President's week. Off we went to Southern California. My siblings took great pictures of my kidlets (but I don't have those pictures yet). I had a great time because I got to visit my dear, dear friends and sit and talk and talk and talk and not feel rushed. Meanwhile, my children ran amuck and had a splendid time. It was a lovely visit. We saw both sets of Grandparents, lots of cousins, and had MANY playdates. I failed to take pictures at all the friends houses that I visited and I am sad about that. So here is what you get... It was a nice week and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Be of Good CHEER!

Today my goal is to remember that I always wanted to be a mother and to enjoy my children. That requires me to focus on them.... so that's my goal today while being of good cheer. Doesn't that sound lovely? I'll take it 15 minutes at a time. My children taught Hannah to say "stupid" and "Pee Pee". They laugh hysterically when she says those bad words. Any suggestions on how to get them to stop? Currently I'm ignoring her when she says them and try to get her to say "Purple" or "Spinach" or something. Matt got the big job with the big mattress company. He'll be traveling to Washington, Oregon, and all over CA while they open new stores in the malls. It's fantastic for him and his company just sad that I'll see less of him. He's a hard worker and I love him. I'll try to post pictures later of our lovely life. Bye!

Happy New Year! (2 months later)

Hi. Apparently someone reads this. What's new with us? Ummmmm.... well, I was informed that I had a mustache and not the popular kind. I have now entered the old lady world of shaving. Dylan had a substitute teacher that had a full on beard and she was female. I don't want to be like that.... The boys are all busy as ever. I struggle to keep up with their energy. Hannah broke her ankle and is awfully ornery and unhappy a lot of the time. It's made doing anything difficult. Hopefully she only has the cast for 4 weeks. Let's hope. Matt has been busy with work and will potentially be even more busy. That's good for his business. He'll also be reffing for soccer. I vow to have more playdates and visit the gym for sanity. That's my goal. I can't believe it's the middle of February. We rearranged my living room, gave away our jungle gym of a treadmill (let's face it... the kids used it more than we did). We also continue to plan away at the remodel of our kitchen. Hooray! That's my life. Comment if you read this please. Thank you.
