A F*A*B*U*L*O*U*S purchase...

I bought this "Wet 2 Straight" Hot Iron at Ulta for $24 (I had a coupon). It is AMAZING! My normally curly, frizzy hair was quickly transformed as I did the following: After showering I put John Frieda Frizz serum in my hair, proceeded to put on my makeup as my hair did it's kinky/curly thing, and then I busted out the hot iron (it's 2" wide) and had this straight hair within 5 minutes. I'm not even kidding or exaggerating on the speed in which my hair was dry and straight. Granted, it helps that my hair is incredibly thin, but still.... This product is life changing! Hooray!

Pink Cowboy Boots

Hannah got these spectacular real cowboy boots (size 7 wide toddler) from a dear friend of ours. They now fit her and she loves them!! She is so pleased to wear them. She ran around the house and had to show all the boys (Daddy included). She insisted on wearing a dress with them instead of pants. I love how girly she can be.

Never a dull moment being the Mom!

Hannah was throwing up on Friday, I felt gross yesterday and today, and Dylan started throwing up today. How fun. See the picture of Levi mopping floors? He's getting pretty good. He's also been doing LOTS of chores lately because he bought some games for his itouch without permission and then lied about it. So he's earning those off (and still has a ways to go). Hannah is growing like a weed (the pretty weeds). She and Riley (age 3.5) wear the same size clothes. She had that cast on and when I went to put her pants on her (and shoes, too!) now that it's off she didn't fit in either the shoes or the pants. I changed up my favorite style of bows to make (pictured). It's always good to change things up. I also got back in a routine of going to the gym (or exercising with friends running outside) early in the morning. This has helped SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. :-)

Happenings

Dylan went face first down a slide and lost with the gravel. Hannah figured out how to use the table as leverage to brace her walking boot under the edge of the table and then pull her foot out.... she then limps away smiling. Matt took me to see Beauty and the Beast on stage. It was lovely! Levi is great at running, swimming, spelling, and math. Dylan just started swimming lessons and is thrilled! Riley was having issues sleeping. I would put him to bed vertically and find him in the middle of the night horizontal with half his body hanging off the bed.... No wonder he wakes up repeatedly. Soooo, we turned his bed so he is horizontal and it has proven to help with his sleeping thus far. Good ole' Feng Shui.... I created a schedule that if followed helps me to have gym time, scripture time, dedicated kid time, chore time, dinner prep time. 3 days in and I'm on a roll!! Hooray!

Dylan is 5

Dylan turned 5 and waited expectantly to go to Kindergarten. Apparently I failed to prepare him for a 5 month wait before real school. He loved the cards he got, a cool pirate ship, and the game Battleship. Thanks to everyone who called or mailed him something! Pictured is Riley playing Battleship with Dylan outside. It was a beautiful day and the boys wanted to play out there. I try to say yes to them when it really doesn't matter. Hannah got her cast off and now has a walking boot. Seeing as how she walked on her cast anyhow I'm glad she has permission to walk on it. Her double break is healing nicely. I'm amazed at how fast children can heal. Like the other picture of my friend and kids at McDonald's? That's how I keep my sanity sometimes.... that play structure helps a lot. All is well with us. The weather has been gorgeous and we've been outside more. The kids have been getting along and being nice. Hooray!
