Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial

I was very impressed by this memorial and thought it was well done. While visiting Oklahoma we obviously took a little tour of the local attractions and had a nice visit with our dear friends Kim, Dan and Jeffrey! Matt and I pose for a lovely picture. (Am I really that big?? Oh boy...)
One side of the memorial says 9:01 and the other side says 9:03 to symbolize the change that occured at 9:02 (when the bomb went off) and how at 9:03 people were forever changed. There is a nice reflection pool in the middle).
Matt by the Museum. It was cold. The cost was $10 a person...We decided to eat lunch instead.

Stuck in an Airport

Levi playing on chairs in a rather empty section of the airport. On the way there he (thankfully) took a nap on the plane. Looks cozy, huh?
On the way home Levi worked on his art skills and I am very pleased with his fabulous happy face drawing that he did all by himself!!!! (He was quite pleased too, although you can't tell... he was tired... It had been a long, long day).

What do you do with a 2 year old in an airport for a couple hours??

Well, we got very creative and tried many things to prevent any tantrums or breakdowns (on my part or Levi's). We went on a trip to Oklahoma (which is a 5 hour plane ride... yes, feel my pain!) and I did my best to wear the little guy out so we would all be happier when he took a nap.

Super cute!

Levi is quite a chatterbox and is very good at talking and (mostly) expressing himself. Yesterday was pretty funny with the things he was saying. I will share the two funniest examples.

Levi wanted to go outside and before heading there I said, "Mommy has to go potty" and Levi immediately said, "You always have to go potty, Mommy". Being pregnant will do that to you, but it was funny that he noticed.

We were also at Deseret Book yesterday (please note that our DB is incredibly small and not at all the size of a Utah one, hence the reason I was okay with going around the corner without him). So... I left him sitting on the floor stacking candles in the aisle right next to the cash register. The lady at the cash register was watching us interact and commenting on how cute Levi is (I know!).
I said, "Okay Levi, I'm going to walk around the corner to look at books while you make a tower. If you need me, just yell." He said okay and so I walked around the corner. Not 5 seconds later, he screamed and said "Mommy, I need you!" He has never done that before and the cash register lady started busting up, as did I. I went back to him and he was all smiles and I said, "Did you need me?" and he said "Just checking". What an adorable little guy!
