Me...my glasses...

Look at that... I got glasses. They are only for when driving at night (if i want to see things far away). Oh my goodness. I can't believe I have glasses. I sort of feel all smart in them though. I think it will look better wearing them as the teacher. Why? I don't know.

Playing the Violin

I often wonder where kids pick up things. Levi said, "Mom, Look! I'm playing the violin". He had created a violin out of his baseball bat and his tinker toy. Cute Levi.

Levi's favorite part...

We went to a wedding reception and Levi was mostly interested in the chocolate fountain and stuff to dip in it (can you blame him??) Here he got chocolate on his arm and was trying to lick it up. It was most amusing. His other favorite part was the little girl in her fluffy pink dress who he described as "beautiful".

Grandma's Rolls

If you are a family member you are well aware of Grandma's rolls and how FABULOUS they are. I assure you that they cannot be duplicated in one try. I am guessing that her years and years of making them have perfected the taste and texture and I am not quite there yet in my skills. I attempted to make them 2 weeks ago (then the computer crashed, so it's taken this long to post) and it was a 3 hour process and so you get to see me in all the stages of getting dressed since it was before church. However, we're here to look at and talk about the rolls...
Matt taught me how to knead (nope, I didn't know how.. it's much cheaper to just buy bread) and I was trying to make the famous shape of rolls that Grandma makes, but obviously that didn't work out. They were fantastic (in my professional opinion) right out of the oven, however, they got hard and upon consulting my dear Grandma, I learned that I most likely put in too much flour. Matt suggested that I was using too much as I was making them...
That's okay though because it was a great experience and the rolls were worth it.

Dang computers...

Hello world! I fully intend on posting things, however, being the visual person that I am, I need pictures.
I am currently on Matt;s laptop because our home computer has "issues". Since it shuts itself down every 5 minutes it makes it hard to do much.
I'd write more here, however, I am chicken pecking at keys as I have a baby in the other arm and this is taking forever!
So, stay tuned... thanks.

My Dad sometimes comes to our city for work. When he does we get to see him! Yay! He spent quality time with the boys. He also brought marbles and Levi was delighted!

Why I love my husband...

Out of the 222 reasons why I love my fabulous husband, here are a few of them... He built this cool little corner thing to house all the computer/electrical/cord mess that controls our surround sound speakers and tv (I don't understand all of it). It is now organized, lovely and up off the floor!! Yay! He also ran all of the wires for the speakers, etc through the attic and wired everything else. He has skills AND he's cute!
He can bake a pie from scratch. I have no desire to try... I do have to admit that his tastes better than any store bought kind I have purchased. Maybe there is something about homemade stuff. I ought to consider learning how to cook.
He makes the world's best (this is my professional "Shannon Opinion" chicken enchiladas. I think I will keep him around!! Thanks Matt!!! I love you!!

Almost one month old...

Time sure does fly. I can't believe that in 3 days Dylan will be one month old. Today he is four weeks, so that is why I took the cute pictures. He is still a super quiet little guy and is just adorable and we love having him.
