What a helper.

Some days are like that...

This was my weekend. You can't see the tears and my utter sadness and depressed self, but I assure you, it was there. I thought after having a baby I was doing quite well and didn't get post partum depression. Alas, it happened for a good 36 hours. I appreciate my patient husband who listens to me and tells Levi to "please leave Mommy alone, she's taking a nap" when I just couldn't function. I am sure lots of you can relate to this. It just hasn't happened to me in a long time. I was a little shocked that it happened and I felt so unable to cope with life. Today was much better though... Yay! I also ate a lot of ice cream... that's not going to look good on me. What do YOU do when you simply can't function anymore and feel like an absolute failure?

Quality Time

That's just cute.

What a BIG boy!

Well, my little boy informed me today that he is not a little boy. He's a BIG boy. He is 3!! My goodness. I truly am grateful for his sweet (and sometimes too crazy) spirit. He makes me smile daily and challenges everything. He is learning to potty train and is getting very good at it. The below picture is him this morning watching Disney/Pixar's CARS movie. He watches this movie about 5 times a week. It is his favorite and he even sleeps with his cars. It cracks me up!! He really wanted balloons this morning. Last year Matt blew up an entire bag of balloons for Levi and that has stuck in his head of something that you do on birthdays! What a tradition! Here he is opening his presents.
Wow! We didn't quite catch Levi's ecstatic grin and loud "ooH!!" when he saw the soccer goal, however, I assure you that he LOVES his new goal. With batteries it says "Score!" whenever he kicks the ball in the goal. He and Daddy played this all evening (and not with the CARS....wow!)
A very cute little, errr... I mean BIG... Levi with his stash of presents from the Tophams. He also got more cars to play with. What a great day for him!
Happy Birthday Levi! We love you!!!

A birthday celebration...

My cute little Levi will be 3 years old very soon. He and I really enjoy making goodies for friends and eating them too. Levi's favorite part is decorating the goodies (mostly cookies or cupcakes). Today we made some little treats for him to take to nursery tomorrow to celebrate his birthday. When I was in elementary school we had "Bake Sales" on Wednesdays. For 25 cents I could pick one treat from a table full of delicious choices. I loved bake sales!! (Thanks Mom and Dad for giving me a quarter!). The one treat that I usually chose was the cupcake in an ice cream cone. I think they are quite lovely to look at, large in size, and absolutely fantastic; you really ought to try one! So that is what we made today. Levi and I thoroughly enjoyed eating them as we made them! Yum!
There will, most likely, be more birthday festivities posted on here. Stay tuned!

"I'm not Dash, I'm Levi"

I gave Levi this new shirt this morning. It's The Incredibles shirt. He saw it and said "Thanks Mom, this is my favorite shirt". He then proceeded to run all around the house. I said, "Wow, you're Dash!". He said, "No, I'm not Dash, I'm Levi." Then, while running, he crashed into the wall, hurt his foot and declared, "Maybe I better stop running."

Running Music

I am attempting to make a CD of good running music. (No, I do not have an ipod...I'm making a cd). I need your suggestions of good, fast, upbeat, happy, motivating music to help me run. Just think, if everyone who reads my blog just names one song, I would have at least a couple new song ideas. (People I don't know, who also read my blog, feel free to comment!)
Thank you so much!!

3 Months Old

Time sure does go by quickly. Can you believe Dylan is already 3 months old? He is a very smiley baby who eats a lot and likes to be held. We are so glad he is part of our family!

What a Boy!

He's busy, he's cute, and he's absolutely filthy!
This is Levi after a hard day of playing.
Good thing he loves baths; he's averaging two a day.
